You Left an Imprint on Me

Illustrators Anat Varshavsky and Danna Donna Shamir were invited to create works inspired by the collection of the Bible Lands Museum, as part of the Outline Festival. Their work draws on the craft of printmaking, whose origins reach back to prehistoric times, together with ancient seals from the Mesopotamian region. They illustrate a fantastical environment that echoes the rich past of the ancient Near East and creates a dialogue between past and present. In doing so, they join a long line of creators from the dawn of humanity to today, all leaving their mark on our cultural world.
