Behind the Rules: Within the Walls of Froumin House
At the heart of the institution in which the history of the young state was written, a living and pulsating universe is revealed. This exhibition offers a new view of the Froumin House, the historic home of the Knesset in Jerusalem (1950–1966). Within the walls of the building, which was etched into memory as a national symbol and as an arena for speeches, laws, and fateful decisions, the everyday is revealed. Through the eyes of the illustrators, the less visible sides of the place are illuminated: informal and documentary moments are presented alongside a renewed look at historical scenes that took place within the walls of Froumin House.
